| The unit has a controller with a digital display showing a high-sample rate A/F ratio - mounts perfectly atop the steering wheel column plastics without obstructing view of the gauges. One of the nice things about this product is its wideband output signal wire which can be linked into the ZEMulator or any aftermarket engine management system and VERY easily configured. This wire carries a linear-relation analog voltage output (from 0 to 5V) for the wideband value. Even if you dont choose to go with the PLX unit, you should keep this specification in mind as it will simplify the integration of the unit into any aftermarket EMS system. I personally use the M300 in my Z and it is linked into both my ZEMulator setup as well as my Blitz SBC-iColor boost controller. Setting up the ZEMulator for the M300 takes literally 30 seconds and configuring the SBC-iColor for it only took me a few minutes - most of that just familiarizing myself with the calibration procedure the SBC-iColor uses for auxiliary inputs. You can get the M300 direct from PLX for $315 at: [ http://www.plxdevices.com/products/m300/ ] Or you can get it from Z1 Motorsports for $325: [ http://www.z1motorsports.com/product_info.php?products_id=1143 ]
You'll need to obtain a sensor "bung" to weld into the downpipe just before the downpipe/testpipe flange: direct from PLX for $12.00: [ http://www.plxdevices.com/products/accessories/sensorbung/ ] This is the ideal position to install the sensor - easy to access from underneath and close to the engine so as to provide virtually real-time mixture data. Hope this helps!
